Train at one of the most innovative hockey schools in North America. While emphasis is put on skating instruction, equal attention is given to other fundamental skills. Through successful planned teaching progressions, you learn the basics of puck control, passing and receiving, shooting, and checking.
For the advanced Player, we will evaluate your individual skills as they relate to the game and then help you improve these skills so you can play at the levels you desire to play at. Many of our Staff have played at Elite Levels or Coached at these Levels, which will be of great value to all our participants. They "know" what it takes for you to advance in your career!
Enhance your on-ice development with our Advanced Off-ice Instructional Programs. Coaches put you through a battery of tests to assess your fitness level and make recommendations to improve your performance.
You are instructed in all areas of aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, strength and power training, and flexibility and agility programs. Fitness testing helps our instructors determine your individual conditioning needs.
Receive daily feedback and analysis on your hockey game in classroom setting. Instant-replay video cameras film you on the ice to provide an immediate breakdown of your performance. This teaching aid allows our staff to work with you more effectively during your on-ice sessions.
Learn to check properly instead of just knocking your opponent to the ice. The true purpose of checking is to separate the player from the puck or eliminate open players from the offence without being called for interference. We also want to teach each player how to establish the proper body position in relation to the opponent by taking proper angles prior to contact. It is also important for the Player to learn how to receive a Check properly. There are several injuries that can be avoided by simply learning how to give and receive body contact properly! This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct
Our Staff is trained to identify and correct your skills through a carefully designed teaching progression that has been developed in our 25 years of experience in the Hockey School Business. At the end of the week, you will receive an Individualized Evaluation Form created from daily on ice interactions, including skating, puck handling, and participation in situational game activities
